Update on Moose Just received bloodwork back. Everything is good. He only shows gut inflammation which explains his diarrhoea issues with kangaroo diet. I was advised to revert back to lamb only along with malaseb daily soaks for his feet. Once I receive the bag balm I will use this also. We are concentrating on gaining weight as he is only 23kilos and hasn’t gained since December and regaining his energy levels as he has been very lethargic. Hoping to see some improvement soon.

  • Help with 13month old male intact bully with major allergies and paw problems.
I’ve done an allergy test and he’s allergic to rice, salmon, chicken, green peas, coconut oil, turkey, corn and more.
I am now trialing raw kangaroo meat only but his constant inflamed paws cause him pain and limping when going on short walks and this impedes his exercise requirement which then causes stress on his immune system. He has already been on antibiotics and steroids initially to give him relief (reacted negatively to steroid) but problems come back. I don’t want to take him back to the vet for more of the same advice....medication. I wash his paws in benodine solution twice daily but nothing gets rid of the infection. He is suffering and I cannot get nuvet delivered to Australia. This product does has chicken liver and I’m not sure if being allergic to chicken, would hinder his condition or help.
I am lost as what to do next. He has also developed a rash/hive condition on his head and legs. HELP

  • Hello I was wondering if a yeast infection (nail turning red/brown)on my 6month male Moose is normal.
The vet said to wash his paws daily with a medicated shampoo and to use paw paw on his scaly paws to halt his scaling/rough pad growth which could be auto immune/allergy??? Managed to halt his desexing till 18 months at least. This will be all I can do with limited council options.
    thanks

  • Hello everyone!
I’ve finally joined and am excited to get some help from real EBT owners.
We have a beautiful 6 month old male named Moose.
I would love to know if we should halt desexIng him for his own full growth and health wellbeing? I have never had an undesexed male but was willing to avoid it if possible (indoor dog) for as long as possible. He is the only dog (2 cats) in the family.
The other problem surfacing is an undiagnosed foot ‘scaling’ which our vet wants to biopsy (genetic/allergy??) once his yeast infection has cleared up and desex him too
    Can we avoid this?
He loves the beach and it is winter here so pretty wet out there.
    Looking forward to your reply’s!
